An interactive panel presentation consisting of Millennial and Generation Z representatives on the upcoming talent gap, and engagement of Young Professionals (YP) in the FM profession.
Objectives:
1). Understand the drivers of Y Pin FM and dispel the stereotypes
2). Where aren't we looking for young FM Talent that we should be?
3). What is Generation Z’s perspective on the workplace?

Ted Ritter, LEED-AP, Principal at LMI360 / Co-Founder DrawAlert
Ted Ritter has worked and travelled extensively throughout North America, Europe and Asia. He is the Principal of LMI360, a company that solely supports organizations that support the Built Environment, and Co-Founder of DrawAlert, a technology solution for improving results on Construction Projects. He is the current Global Chair of the IFMA Information Technology Community, a member of the IFMA America’s Advisory Board and a Past President of the Phoenix Chapter. He is a co-author of “The Facility Manager’s Guide to Information Technology”, author of multiple articles and has contributed to over 100 presentations on Best Practices in regards to the use of FM Technology, Sustainability and Brand Management.

Nick Heiben, MCR, FMP, Director, Retail Project Management, RBC
Nick Heibein is the Director, Retail Project Management for the Royal Bank of Canada account based in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, Nick provides leadership and direction to the project management team in support of consistent project delivery across North America, while building the client relationship. More specifically, Nick implements process roll-out, training and improvements; template development and management; as well as reporting and knowledge/data management; with a focus on consistency, quality and continuous improvement, all increasing value to the client and JLL team. Nick has his Bachelor of Applied Technology, with a focus on Architecture, Project and Facility Management, from Conestoga Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. Nick is the current President of the Toronto Chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Chair of IFMA’s Global Young Professional Task Force, and the 2015 recipient of IFMA’s Emerging Professional Award.
Katerina Karasyova, Senior Facilities Manager, Cushman
Katerina Karasyova manages the North American leased sites for Cushman & Wakefield’s (C&W) client MasterCard. As a Senior Facilities Manager, Katerina’s main focus is on strategic planning, continuity of service and implementation of best practices across the client portfolio. In collaboration with the Projects Team, Katerina has managed multiple office buildouts and relocations with a strong focus on client design standards, change management, process mapping and strategic planning for BAU upon move. Katerina worked with the client’s executive team to successfully integrate new/acquired offices to the C&W model. Katerina possesses extensive experience working within various industries as well as providing facility management solutions that align service excellence with business strategy.
Shawn Baetz, FMP, Associate Project Manager, Project Management Office (PMO), JLL
Shawn Baetz is an Associate Project Manager, Project Management Office (PMO) with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) for the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Account based in Toronto, Ontario. As a Associate Project Manager, Shawn supports the Project and Development Services – Retail and Office Project Management Teams in aligning processes and controls to create efficiencies for consistent project delivery. Also, Shawn oversees the financial administration for Client managed Projects. Previous to JLL, Shawn has assisted the core Project Team in the construction of a Backup Generator Plant and a Major Office Move – Global Headquarters for a Canadian life insurance institution. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Applied Technology – Architecture Project and Facility Management from Conestoga Collect Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. Shawn is actively involved with the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) – Toronto Chapter Young Professional (YP) Committee and the recipient of the 2016 Emerging Young Professional Award.
